Weighted class grade averages are reported in the familiar 100-point system on the report card. GPAs and class ranking are computed using a weighted 4.0 scale to reflect varying levels of course difficulty:

• Tier 1: Advanced Placement (AP) courses (including G/T sections);

• Tier 2: Advanced courses for grades 9-12 (including G/T sections); senior project courses;

• Tier 3: All other courses, unless specifically designated.
